ENGRAVED ECHOES OF VADAKANADHAN

The aim of this project is to conceptualize and design a range of prints for the Seasonal Collection - Hi Summer 2023, in accordance with the industry brief provided by Maybell. As per the brief, the prints should be inspired by Kerala culture and should reflect the vibrancy and liveliness of the season. The design inspiration was taken from the Vandakanthan temple in Thrissur, Kerala, for the theme and color palette of the collection. The color palette of the designs is inspired by the vibrant hues found in the temple, which are reflective of the energy and spirit of the summer season. The elements and details of the temple served as a rich source of inspiration for the design team, which they then translated into various design elements such as composition, chest placement, border, repeats, and neck placements. The designs are versatile and can be printed on a variety of garments such as Kurtas, Skirt Sets, Kurta Sets, and Kids Skirt Sets.
